{"id":450,"date":"2025-04-22T17:45:28","date_gmt":"2025-04-22T17:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/permutationcity.co.uk\/bp\/?p=450"},"modified":"2025-04-22T17:45:28","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T17:45:28","slug":"thinmatrix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/permutationcity.co.uk\/bp\/2025\/04\/22\/thinmatrix\/","title":{"rendered":"ThinMatrix"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This is just a quick one,\nI recommend checking out the game development channel\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@ThinMatrix\">ThinMatrix<\/a>.\nWhile I&#8217;ve been watching he&#8217;s worked on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vtrqfbo9rO4&amp;list=PLRIWtICgwaX1gcSZ8qj8Q473tz7PsNmpR\">Equilionx<\/a>: An ecology based game that is finished and <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/853550\/Equilinox\/\">available on Steam<\/a>:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLRIWtICgwaX2_2R9UcpGo1_vw050fZbTY\">City-Builder<\/a>: A game which got roads and a few buildings and people but which was eventually shelved.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yJIsNaVsCIg&amp;list=PLRIWtICgwaX02ANbLFknXLbLsHdhS_e-Z\">Homegrown<\/a>: A casual farming game which is actively under development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I like the style and feel of these videos.\nThey&#8217;re all fairly relaxed.\nIt follows the up and occasional downs of one guys creative and engineering approach.\nHe uses his own engine rather than rely on Unreal or Unity which sets it apart from many other channels.\nIt&#8217;s all relatively high level so you can see the outline of things but\ndon&#8217;t have to worry too much about the specifics of the code.\nIf you are thinking of game development yourself this gives a good impression of how much work it might be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is just a quick one, I recommend checking out the game development channel ThinMatrix.
